Parylene (poly-p-xylene) is a polymeric conform coating material deposited via a vacuum vaporization process. This coating features uniform thickness, high density, and optical transparency, offering excellent electrical insulation, moisture resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance to meet the protective requirements of components with complex geometries. Depending on molecular structure, it is primarily categorized into N-type, C-type, D-type, and HT-type series to accommodate diverse application conditions.

Vapor Phase Deposition Process with Excellent Conformality
Utilizing Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), active monomers polymerize in-situ on the substrate surface to form a thin film. The coating exhibits superior conformality, capable of covering sharp edges, micro-crevices, internal cavities, and other complex structures, making it particularly suitable for the surface protection of miniature and precision magnetic materials.
Precisely Controllable Film Thickness with Dimensional Accuracy
The coating thickness can be precisely controlled within the range of 0.1–100 μm with excellent uniformity. Its colorless and transparent nature ensures that product appearance remains unchanged while meeting strict dimensional tolerances required for precision magnetic components.
High Dielectric Strength for Reliable Electrical Insulation
Parylene coatings exhibit high dielectric strength (typical value >5,000 V/mil*), significantly enhancing the electrical safety of electronic components. Small soft-magnetic cores treated with this coating demonstrate outstanding performance in withstand voltage tests, satisfying high-voltage insulation requirements.
Chemical Corrosion Resistance & Barrier Protection
The coating features low water vapor permeability and excellent chemical inertness, providing resistance to various acids, alkalis, solvents, and salt spray environments. Magnets treated with parylene show significant improvement in neutral salt spray test performance and acid/alkali resistance. Additionally, the coating helps mitigate high-temperature oxidation, improving thermal stability and reducing irreversible flux loss at elevated temperatures.

Low Friction Coefficient for Mechanical Protection

The coating is deposited at room temperature without solvents or additives, generating no hazardous waste liquid. It complies with RoHS, REACH, and other environmental regulations, representing a clean surface treatment process.
